Weekend Update: Tower Cafe Bloggers Meet-Up

Another weekend got away from me.
I had such plans for crafting, blogging, cooking...
But we lost an hour.
And I was busy making six new friends.

I went to Tower Cafe on Saturday morning to meet-up with some other area bloggers. I didn't know what to expect. I was extremely nervous approaching the restaurant, almost like it was my first day at a new school.  But then I saw Ana and Hayley in the parking lot. We all said hi, and I realized that these would be nice girls.

We shared a delicious brunch and spent hours chatting about travel, work, relationships, marriage, and of course blogging.

I was the dork who forgot her camera, so thank you to Bailey for sending us the photos.

The amazing Ana made us each a Red Velvet cupcake.

And she packaged them with the cutest twine and labels. Adorable!

It was so much fun. And there is talk of another meet-up--this time for wine tasting. Can't wait!

Then yesterday, after doing chores extremely late and grumpily (due to the time change), we went over to Jess (from the Literary Foodie) and Rob's place for dinner. They made a delicious and hearty carrot soup and a vibrant arugula, tomato, apple and cucumber salad. We played Yahtzee and then pigged out on cupcakes for dessert. The fun time with friends made up for the time loss.

And I've concluded that the moral of the weekend is this: blog people are good people.

  1. That sounds like such a fun time! I've only met a handful of blog friends in real life, but so far they've all been amazing people and it's made for really fun experiences. Isn't it strange connecting with people in real life who you've known via the internet for a good while?

    1. Bailey from Lost & Found announced it/organized it on her blog. We're thinking of doing another one soon. Not sure where you are living now, but it would be awesome if you came! I'll be sure to post details on the blog when we work it out!
