Bridesmaids Clutches

I honestly can't remember if I posted anything about this already, but I'm pretty sure I didn't.

Anyway, I recently found some pictures of the clutches I made for my bridesmaids, so I thought I would share those and link-up to the tutorial I used, which was incredibly helpful to me as I had never worked with a purse frame before.

I used dupioni silk, and lined each purse with a personalized fabric that suited each lady.

This was before I had glued the frame, if I remember correctly, so don't pay attention to the gap...
Though the clutches were far from perfect, I still think they were pretty cute. I had to keep the project somewhat secret, because T. was still living with us at the time.

Sadly, I can't find the flower tutorial I used, but this one is close, although the silk flowers could not be singed.

Inside each of the clutches, I put a lovely little jewelry set from Element4You for them to wear with their dresses.

I gave the girls their purses and jewelry at our bachelorette dinner, and proceeded to get tipsy and incredibly mawkish. We went out to an Irish pub, where I had my first Irish Car Bomb, and then to Pizza Port, because my hometown doesn't have much of a bar scene. At the end of the night, my sister took me home and we watched North in bed.

Love those ladies...
