I'm dreaming of a new journal

I have this crazy love for brand new, empty notebooks. I love having something blank to fill in with drawings, musings, and ideas. But I realized recently that I haven't bought or received a new journal in quite some time.

I think it started in college, when I found that years of collecting and half-filling notebooks had left me with a glut of blank pages, and I determined to fill those in. Somehow, all my notebooks found their way back home to my mom's house or into the dumpster between apartments. And looking around now, I only have a travel journal, which somehow filled up with sad sentiments, and my class notebooks, which invariably fell apart during their quarters in use.

So I've been eying journals on Etsy. I need something nice and sturdy, with binding that will hold up in purses, backpacks, and suitcases.

I'm loving this Beetlejuice journal from n3do on Etsy. I would feel pretty awesome pulling this out in the middle of a cafe to jot down some ideas.

Or, if I wanted something prettier, I could go with this lovely tri-fold journal from BlueToad.
